Dieter Roth and Risk Assesments

the fringe is over now there is not much work.
So what does a an artist do.

EVERYTHING.

so far this month i have fixed out a final list of 14 artist, sent out risk assessments, approached different types of people for my group exhibition, been to 3 art previews, been invited to future are previews, been to Dundee, attended the opera, had blazing rows with travelodge, started work, taken steps to start production of sell-able product.

plenty.

More recently i have confirmed to myself mainly so i now no longer need to know who will be appearing next week.
I have managed to get a fantastic mix of contemporary artist, designers showing garments, jeweler and garment producer.

As well as all of that i also have the chance to show a students work where i will go and see an exhibition put on by students and pick one of two students to also show in this massive space.

But apart from all of this i was also in Edinburgh the other day when an exhibition caught my eye i normally don't like installations work or even film work but i went and saw Dieter Roth Diaries at the fruits markets where he filmed one of the last years of his life every aspect of his year from work to the kitchen and put it on tv's there was easily 50+ tvs showing different scenes and views of his life some where busier than others but im under the impression that its just you cant away's be busy.

These were interesting just to watch it was like being nosy and being aloud to see every part of a day.
Deffo worth a look and its on till the 14th of October in the fruits market gallery!

awesome
