This weekend is the last weekend of the fringe meaning the royal mile wont take 20 minutes to walk up, or be handed a piece of paper every five minutes for shows unless they are the most beautiful person and there's a 50/50 chance that show is awful.
Not only that but MELA, this is a weekend of fashion, culture, food, music and dance after some research i found out that its a world wide weekend that this year in Edinburgh is concentrating on dance, there is also fireworks and shops with traditional ware.
It looks like an awesome weekend!

The fringe is cool.
I have worked the fringe for a few years, but this year was one of the more interesting exhibitions ive worked.
I worked "Through the looking glass dimly" which was blind photographers. who exhibited in Edinburgh's Old Ambulance Depot for a week during the fringe. Andrew follows exhibited work that he took from back home to which Rosita McKenzie took photos in reaction to Andrews photos it was interesting to see the two contrasting photographs.
but not only did i meet awesome people but i got my first piece of work here at the first images i took from this.
Andrew Follows came in whilst i was there with her guild dog. at first the dog just sat down by his self having a little snooze. So i started to draw this dog. Even got a few poses as he caught on to me. Then his guild equipment was taken off and he was a normal dog which i thought i was interesting to my first project of work is to do with working dogs and the difference in when their working and off duty.

Fakirk art scene progressions!
The month of august is the busiest in my years, its usually consists of working with other print makers finding jobs and creating work.
This year it was no different. Originally it was just working the fringe for a few weeks but its progressed into two exhibitions in the same fortnight, juggling life. In one week the exhibition for graduated students at Falkirk was put on for ten days in Falkirk high street. It consisted of 4 artists and ran from 10 till 5.
Over all it got alot of people in looking around and so many positive comments. Its something that Falkirk really needs as the whole creative industries has moved to Stirling.
LETS HOPE IT CONTINUES!

1st show of the year
for the past week i have taken a break from organising art work because it is one of the more stressful things i think i have ever done. I'm starting to think what makes me think i can get ten artist in one room and get work sold. i do not know right now. but i got a last minute offer to show work which after a few choice words from my mother i got to printing after about a year. this was the main result.
which considering i worked on these for 4 days i do think there no bad.
