Art isn't just for the crazy it tells us how to kills zombies when it all ends.

Generally don't have anything arty to post about, more how my poor insides have had enough wine to last 3 years not 2 weeks. damn.

BUT i did get the 1st walking dead which is created by Robert Kirkman, designed and animated by Tony Moore and Cliff Rathburn.

I think it counts as art, or something along the lines of graphic artist in a contemporary route. Which then lead to the idea of ownership these artist kinds work for skybound so do they own there images or when there bound in books are they skybounds?

and has it moved into bigger companies with its access to the kindles and ipads to the TV show that took the concept from the 13 graphic novels? Where does the art lie and how much do the creater's own now?

Just a quick observation of the easily confused.

whilst researching for my digital essay i came across this which confused and amused me at the same time.

This week i was thinking about tone, and how it sets the mood.
What does this moood set?
how does colour effect this?
What does the vibrancy say about this?


TONE; THE FEELING SOMETHING PORTRAYS 


So today in the mist of christmas shopping madness my darling grandmother decided that she was going to take my jean shopping.
I hate shopping, i hate jeans shopping. Almost as much as shoe shopping but that is another story for another day.


so to continue she gives me these;

what does the tone of these say about my image?

The red; i am happy.

The mustard; I am Mellow.
The grey; So-So

The Black; I am Depressed.

so when i was trying them on i found that the tone of the skinnies effected how i felt in them for example;

i did not like these. i like red but not on me, i think the only reason the two out if three opinion i took liked them was because they go with  my pear drop hair. They made me feel nervous of people staring at how bloody bright they were, But this could be a statement but i do not want to make that kind of a statement plus..

Im no where near brave enough to wear that bright a jean.

So red as lovely as it is, and the look makes me feel happy and content wearing them gave off a nerving tone.

funny that.

After 30mins i agreed on lovely ones. not that anyone needed to know..

no. again some backround.


Im Kirsten Mains, i have very little English qualifications, according to the internet im 69% dyslexic, i dislike written work because i don't make sense and my spelling is like another countries way of talking. Can yu tell i cant spell "lanauge"?


so the difficulty with being critical is that i cant really be critical i can deliver an amusing blog! But that's what makes me think theres a wrong way to blog as when scowering over other blogs they were all quite formal and to a point not aimless and almost like it taking the piss like mines seems.


but to be critical. Statment; don't think its me to be critical. Why; because i'm not serious as a person. How can this be change; over time with being more serious.

Aladdin! Can I Catch A Lift?

sign or symbol.


what makes something a sign or a symbol? a dove is a symbol of hope yet the sign for a bird of somethig biblical.
so in  this instance. i pulled this face.

which then confused me more cause! "?" is a symbol and a sign for confusion.  but its a symbol to imply a question.


so with further research and many more "?!" i came to the conclusion that it is indeed one in the same but closely related  to both but at the same time there completely different. 


Which i thought was the idea to think of because as well as figuring that out there was the issue that all the words to make signs or symbols for were indeed closely related. As well.


Holiday and travel. now two words closely related to get anywhere in life you have to travel. Even on holiday, especially on  holiday. Even if Aladdin came along and flew you on holiday your still on a magic carpet singing  something happy!


My point. You cant have one without the other.

technology 1 - kirsten - stressed.

Today i set up my graphic tablet, bit of backround history.
im kirsten, i dislike anything i have to set up, or get a disk for, when buying a laptop i got one without a hard drive, went to curries and some other shop and looked pretty damn silly, then took 3 weeks to buy a graphic tablet to even choose what model as they were all A5. thats not what i need!

my night started like this;

                                                          stress levels; low explosions none, swear words none.

4minutes 36 seconds later

BAM STRESS! its broke whats wrong with it, theres plenty of memory what on earth. swearing every 3rd sentence the world is falling apart the hard drives making a funny noise there maybe a BOOM at any moment!

after two hours of bad words and trying to read 4 different set of instructions from different countries it finally worked.

im aware of how pointless it was but i thought this be quite amusing to post!

this was really difficult as im not a norge..

due to my lack of technology skills and common sense i logged on  blogger today in norway. where i couldnt read any the buttons as i only know two words in norwegain. not useful ones at that.

but as far as things go norway is a great place for building structure and crazy art. also the garden of sex. well experience yes my innocence is gone, thank yu oslo.

                              working away on college work signs project is coming on well!

                                         pretending to be a tree in chinos. cause i blend in well!

                         but any photographer would love it here with all it picture perfect veiw, not the prices.

when all else fails.. just invert the situation

After a busy week of a large amount of course work and more bloody than coffee in my system there has been a fantastic amount of progress made.

It started with a silk paper map, not the most amazing thing but its about experimentations and exploring ideas.
which then lead to INVERT, amazing tool in digital use and photocopying. But in times of need and sadness just take a picture and press invert. Its highly amusing.

But the highlight of my week was a lecture on ownership and rights in art. rather fanstic.

Today Was The Day That The Grinch's Heart Grew 3 Sizes Bigger.

Entry two; it can either be heart felt and mildly morbid or a bit amusing.
But i may find that middle ground.

name 40 things your good at?

well my first thought was; How would spiderman answer this question. Then i thought that stupid cause hes a low confident nerd who gets bitten by a spider. Poisoned pretty much they just shed a nice light on it.
So how would super man answer it cause hes well manly.

After my moment of ridiculous thoughts and the little amusement i got from it the serious moment was how could i possibly answer this, i couldn't name 5 genuine things i could do well as i don't really think of positive things i can do and believe what i say.

As a result i realised today that i can do more than 5 things well which is smashing and ill put it on my CV for the record that i have a little positivity in my bones and its not pure sarcasm, which is a pessimistic attitude to have in any area ect ect bad bad blah, and there is some happiness about. NOT MUCH MIND YOU!

Its okay i take my ink from the octopus across the road!

My way with words is something to be desired.

Week One came with meeting new people, new briefs and a whole lot of creative fun. After getting the briefs it was down to mind maps and image development! EXCITING MUCH?
