Pin up, eye patches and LBGT happy 2013.

started 2 months and thirteen days ago.
In 2013 i decided to give this freelance artist thing a go so how much have i earned so far
zero a big fat nothing its not even fat a deadly nothing might fake my own death in order to earn something and spend it with my new identity and such and so forth.

so what am i doing with my minus bank account, working to earn non existing money for this account that's what,

if you like vintage, and bright colours and delightful conversation and the odd flash sale with figure flattering dresses then i have the right place for you!

Pin up Boutique is the place for you where their is always a sneaky little surprise and a stressed out person behind  the pc screen, but the products are beautiful and this will take off and cause the world to end but its okay because doctor who will save us all and we will never ever know just sell lovely dresses for all shapes and people.

click this link because you should and you will and you will like this facebook page.

That would be the 1st thing that i need to promote the second being quite well ran so far with im not sure if anything will be ready on time.

THE EYE PATCH PROJECT

are you in Edinburgh based?
are you my friend?
do you like art?
do you like my art?

of course you do.
well on the 12-21st of July this year at the art complex get your peachy arses down to the art complex and check out my pirates work because we aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar great.

and its our first exhibition and if nobody turns up i might just cry because this is stressful and i so under slept i don't need to sleep working on this.

AND ON THE OPENING NIGHT THERE WILL BE BOOZE. and a bomb of some kind not cheap toilet wine.

I'd really like to say i have done interesting stuff with my time but that would be a massive lie i have just worked though i have half joined an important cause which i feel is rather important and i will highlight it down the bottom because i will go into a bit of detail.

Recently i have been not so much working but i have been kind of involved in LBGT and to use words, Lesbian, Bi, Gays, Trans. Or Cosmic Designs which i think everyone should look at and take part in.

What ive taken from this is that its designed to help anyone with coming out issues using the mediums of art to help relief stress or anxiety Cosmic design are taking on 160-25 year olds who willing want to work as a group to create their own pieces using threes subjects and different mediums to as an end result create something amazing. for these group member's to be proud of and walk away gaining new skills.

It really is worth a gander its awesome work and awesome people behind it.

And i think thats it. i have nothing left to promote yet.

A pretty 120 views for a violent blog.

I don't know who reads what i actually write but from the past week i have had over 100 views. This is impressive and happy 1000 views go to me this week. This is awesome for the one person who clicks refresh when i post 1000 refreshed pages is great.

I am a white pasty mess today because i had an amazing Friday night out, 5 hours sleep, a 6 hour shift, then seeing a little cute kid for +5 hours. I am exhausted. What did you do on your exciting Friday i hear you say, WELL WELL WELL i went to a gig of acoustic music

ON A BUS.

yes a bus it  was cold, and it shook and it was great one of the most interesting venues i have been to ever. cannot top this for lyf. Which reminded me how much work i still had to produce and how much i still had to do which left me thinking fuuuu-  so thank you for that!

I used to go to a lot of unsigned bands back in my day when i was of young and knew people now i don't and i count of my training and skill to get by. Last night the 3.5 acts i saw were almost awesome.
I am also the creep that takes pictures everywhere i go and notes on my phone so when writing this one i had to look at my notes

The Pretty Mess were defiantly worth a check out there probably younger than myself, all moderately handsome chaps and it was a rather lovely atmosphere. I did however get pictures from this one but i did not however want to be seen as the creeper on the bus!

I don't know any there stuff par what i heard which the one that i do remember from my long day is harmonies and memories. I do think that this would be worth a listen to proper venue live though.

And the line "Nothing more Nothing less than a pretty mess!" i did not take many notes last night my fingers were way too cold. But bellow is a facebook link so LOOK LOOK LOOKKKK

The Pretty Mess

The other ones i cannot recall any names, or such but there was

* A very softy sung female who was rather sweet to the ear
* A man that sung about a bus
* Then the one we went to originally see which rock the bus!
(If i do find any more names i will edit this and leave links, i am incredibly forgetful and this is why i take notes)

This event i think will be held again at the three sisters in Edinburgh and starts what i think will be Friday nights  6:15 till late i can only assume!
(Again if i find out anything i will update!)

The project that will never be completed.

Now i always have a backup project and this was my very cheerful photo project i had planned years ago i just had to do interesting things, visit places and actually experience something.

This very cheerful project has went to a morbid look on how awful the human race is. Bold statement? No this is not, i am so close to scrapping this project because of the horrible negative reminder.

To take it back to one of my previous project my "master piece"  because its double my height and was the funniest thing ive ever created yet this is now a MORBID piece. that i love.

Why not do this project? well i think in patient, approachable and decent but in this month alone;

5 creeps i have met
13+ bails with stupid excuses
3 people leave
15+ events of being ditched for a partner
1 artist drop out
5 rejections
15+ silent eye rolls
2 fails at a test
and i dont know how many groans because of horrible situations that made it awkward.

so no.. i cannot create a project based on all these lets downs.
but i will share some of the pictures from this project that will once again be put on hold.

fire works and happy breakfast!

Now that all my paperwork is out the way. risk assessments mainly to be done but done none the less.
I have half my line up a few people to visit but art work for a month until my first proper meeting of the arts.

But the more distressing thing i heard this week was from two people i knew were doing the same course i done back in my day of youth, and only to hear that its not even Christmas and more than a handful have dropped out of this course. Because either its not what they thought or there was disagreements.

I thought this was a right shame because when i was 17 in my art course i thought it was the bee knees. But clearly more than the failures of year one have had there faith in art tested.

Okay maybe not faith that makes it sound like a religious thing but it does take commitment that will test patience and so much more, its clear that art has a different impression from what people think. more support is needed i think! or the fact that art is a bitch subject.

But apart from that, i took up photography for a while. not saying im a photographer but i took up some picture taking with my basic skills as a printer taking pictures yet they turned out alright!

stress, riots and Spain!

I don't like to get personal in my blog but i have had the week from hell and its only Tuesday. First my hoover picks a fight and damages my foot so im limping away, i then have to wait an hour on a bus and walk home with numb feet.
Then today only to have to deal with a hormonal teenager giving me the abuse of the day. there is no need for the stress i am under right now.

But i was in the heart of art Spain on yet again a stressful week away, Well Barcelona to add more detail i wasn't sure what to expect actually but the buildings were awesome, even one with eyeballs coming out if it and walls as windows all awesome, the more interesting thing that i saw though was the protests and sit in that were going on there.

One was students, protesting the rise in their fees. The other "general" hate for the government as the women at the receptionist told me which she then told me it was the norm there. So my questioning, was not a shock to her and showed i was a total tourist

So after my guild dog pieces of art i may look at this for a piece or set of work. This is only when my current state gets a lot more happy!
